De Poel ontstijgt dat helaas niet, en heeft mijns inziens veel van de minpunten die 'de Nederlands film' al dan niet terecht worden toegedicht. Met stip op 1: houterige dialogen, maar ook het verhaal met de kibbelende kampeerfamilies wiens vakantie aan een mysterieuze poel onverklaarbaar in het honderd loopt, komt niet echt lekker op gang.
